Graduation

Hmm… An important day for me in my life! Although something disappoints me, I don’t care anyway. The main point is to have fun, right?! So, I reached school around 7 a.m. to snatch my blazer from the prefect’s room before others snatched it! However, the “M” size blazer was all borrowed by somebody else, so I borrowed a “L” size instead. Ah! I was too late after all! It was a little bigger, but better than nothing!

After borrowing my blazer, I ran all the way to my class, 5SA2 (I’m serious…), hoping to have some fun with my classmates. To my disappointment, only some of them arrived and all of them were not the crazy-type person especially Allan (Sorry, Allan!). Before I left the class, he handed me my prefect certificate. Hooray! I fought three years for this paper and finally I got it! Most of my classmates said that the picture on the certificate was edited! How dare them!

After settling my certificate, I walked all the way to 5SB2 to find some old friends, hoping to find my three years best friend, Tict Chyuan as well. I heard he finally can drive to school, finding the chance to mock him. Ah! Found him! Both of us went to the canteen to have our breakfast as that was the last day we went to canteen together. I knew that, but all the stalls in canteen were tightly closed! What kind of canteen is that?! Ah well, we headed back to our class because it was photography time!

All Form 5 students spent 1 hour to take our memorable photos. I took some with my friends too! However, I was annoyed when Allan refused to take photo with me! What was he thinking?! Am I too ugly to take a photo with you?! Anyway, that was not the reason. He’s a cool-type person, so he won’t take any photo with anyone else.

Finally, we were asked to assemble in the wall and wait for V.I.P.! Interesting? Hell no! The Form 5 and Form 6 prefects were asked or perhaps ordered to greet the V.I.P. at the main gateway. Ah! I was going to graduate and the school ordered me to do such things. Never mind, I would take it as my last service for this school. We stood at the main gateway for like 40 minutes I think. Still, the V.I.P. were not arrived yet. That’s why they are called V.I.P.! While we were waiting for them, they were still having breakfast in their dining halls!

Finally, they arrived and we greeted them! Nothing else to comment about this. We entered the hall and sat at the right side corner after all the V.I.P. took their seats. Then, the graduation ceremony started! Yesh! We started by singing our beloved national anthem, “Negaraku” and our state anthem. Formality, eh? Don’t worry about that! I’m a patriotic person and I believe in “Malaysia Boleh!”.

Alrighty! Singing period ended! Now, boring speech period! I thought I could have a nice, short nap while the V.I.P. up there were speaking. Too bad, I could not! Tict Chyuan was playing pranks with the Form 6 prefects! Ah well! Meanwhile, I could see Allan shaking his head and was trying to comment something bad about them! Haha!

After the speech periond, Tict Chyuan asked me to go out with him. Sure thing! I planned to go out anyway. So, both of us went out through the main gateway with our school famous huntress, Choong Sim staring at us! She must be very disappointed when we did not ask permission from her! Serves you right! Who ask you to cut Tict Chyuan’s hair before the ceremony?! Outside the hall, we found Khoon Jie and Zhao Quan chit-chatting! Hah! Caught you! They told us that both sides outside the hall was guarded by two perfect guardians, Mr. Na and Mr. Lai. But, we’re going to take a simple walk anyway!

After we came back into the hall, it was already prize giving ceremony. And, what happened?! Tict Chyuan again! He argued with the Form 6 prefects whether 物理 or 生物 is Biology! Worse still, he said he was great because he could cause such a commotion! The school should have prepared a cheeky prize for him! Finally, the Form 6 prefects won because their facts about 生物 is Biology was right! Ah! Allan was saying something again! “Both of them are childish!” He said. I knew he was not pointing at me. I could comment nothing because it was difficult to. He had his point.

Next, the V.I.P. were going to give prize to the best graduated student and best performed student. Yes! I must took a good look on them and determined whether the world is fair or not. And, I could see Tict Chyuan was interested to join me as well. No wonder he is my best friend! The first 2 best performed students were quite imbalance because they were handsome and yet performed well academically. Not bad! The world is indeed unfair!

However! When it came to the Chung Ling Private, Tict Chyuan concluded that the world is fair! Because the girl who performed great was fat. I knew it was very rude to say that, but I could not resist myself from saying that. Then, another girl went up the stage to accept the prize for the best graduated student! To my surprise, she was perfect indeed! Both me and Tict Chyuan were forced to accept the world is unfair! Ah! We lost!

After the prize giving ceremony, we sang the graduation song and school anthem for the last time. I unleashed my bad singing potential, and probably annoy those who were sitting in front of me. -_- Anyway, the graduation ceremony ended! “The V.I.P. are welcomed to the canteen to have their food, and the students! Please remain seated! (You’re not going to have any food!)” Mr. Yap said.

Ah! I knew it! No food for us! I’m hungry! Nuuuu…! To ease our anger filling the atmosphere of the hall, Mr. Yap complimented us for performing well during the ceremony. That was the first time he complimented people! Ah! I could not believe it if I did not hear it myself! Anyway, he played his favourite song, “童话” like last year! We had no choice but to sing again! Once again, I caused annoyance for the prefects!

So… The ceremony was successfully ended! After taking the last photo with the Form 6 prefects, we went home! Easy?! Hell no! I wouldn’t forget to shake my best friends’ hands before going home! The END~~!

  1. Graduation ceremonies are almost always not fun.
It turned out to be that it’s our friends and what we did with them during the ceremony that made us enjoyed the day.
Mine turned out to be that way.
    We were so damn excited!!!
    Ur day wasn’t bad either!
The Allan friend u mentioned is pretty interesting. Haha..
    I’m beginning to miss school already… T.T
P/S: Is this ur first blog? =)

  2. I see… Well, perhaps you’re right! My friends and I had been together since we were Form 1… Thinking of going to be apart from them, sadness takes over my feeling… Haha! Well, some people say, “There’s a time when one should put down everything and walk away!”

I knew my day wasn’t that bad. It’s just it did not turn out like I had expected. That’s all! About that Allan, he was the deputy head of the Prefects’ Board… So, he could not put down his serious attitude even in this memorable ceremony. Anyway, sometimes I find him a funny guy even though he isn’t a “zho-siau” type.^^

Umm… It depends anyway. I had created several blogs before I create this blog to hone my essay writing skills. (I’m not boasting… It’s true! >.

  3. Oooh… Then please bear with my not-so-good vocab sometimes. I don’t really know how to rephrase things correctly at times. Hehe. I used to read a lot of english fictions back then, but ever since my dad banned them from my wonderful life of reading (PMR year), I switched to chinese fictions. (Naughty me, continued reading. XD) I’m now still trying to get used to reading them like before. But I guess I can only resume this ‘project’ after SPM… =(

This isn’t my first blog either. That blog’s written in chinese.. And for the same reason, wanted to improve my writing skills. Didn’t help much I guess. XP For this one, it’s more of sharing and writing for fun. Now I find blogging addictive…. Hehe.

  4. Well, don’t overestimate me. I’m not that good in English writing like you think I am. Maybe I won’t know if you have made any mistakes in your post. Anyway, please… I’ll like my friends to communicate with me without giving themselves a hard time, or restricting this and that. I mean, I’m not that kind of person that dislikes everyone whose English is worse than me!

I’ve read your blog. Your English writing skill is not bad too. To be honest, I’ve only seen three persons who have an outstanding English writing skill, and I’m honoured to declare that you’re the fourth. (Since you don’t like lies, right?)

As for chinese, I’m never good at this subject ever since I graduated from my primary school. Anyway, my main point is come on! We’re friends, right? Friends must never mind any small matters. And, if you need some help in your English after SPM, I’m glad to lend a helping hand. That’s what friends for, right? Although we never really understand each other yet, you’re already become my friend to me. Why? You’re loyal to friendship, right? So am I…
